Lockport HS Teacher Pleads Not Guilty to Attempt to Spread Ex's Nude Photos
Attorney says things aren't as they appear, and this wasn't a case of "revenge porn" by the 28-year-old Mokena man.

A Lockport Township High School teacher arrested earlier this month for posting a "sex image" of an ex-girlfriend pleaded not guilty Tuesday.
Stephen Soderborg, 28, was charged with attempted non-consensual dissemination of private sexual images. The charge reflects a 2015 law regarding "revenge porn," defined as the posting of sexual images of a former partner without that person's consent. The offense is considered a class 4 felony, however Soderborg was charged with a misdemeanoras his action was considered an "attempt," Chicago Tribune reports.
Soderborg posted a nude photo of his 28-year-old ex-girlfriend to the website ZOIG, police said. ZOIG boasts of featuring “homemade porn, sex photos & videos, real amateurs f---ing!” and encourages users to “Upload your homemade sex or just watch user submitted porn!”

Soderborg, a Mokena resident, posted the photo to the website in summer 2015, and his ex filed the complaint in December 2015, according to the report. The two were breaking up at the time Soderborg posted the image of the woman with her “intimate parts … exposed," and he told police he took it down shortly afterward.
His attorney said in court Tuesday that the facts of the case will not reflect "revenge porn."
