Lockport Man, 20, Fatally Struck by Train

The man was crossing the tracks in Lockport when he was struck around 9 p.m. Tuesday.

LOCKPORT, IL — A Lockport man was fatally struck by a train Tuesday night.

Jacob A. Hegeduis, 20, was crossing the Canadian National tracks near West 2nd and North State streets in Lockport when he was struck just before 9 p.m., according to the Will County coroner's office.

Lockport authorities, Amtrak police, and Canadian National police are investigating.
