LOCKPORT, IL — Several members of the city of Lockport's commissions were reappointed to serve another term at the city's Wednesday council meeting. Lockport has several commissions, which work with city staff to "help govern and guide each specific department," the city website states.

On Wednesday, the council approved the reappointments of Scott Likins, William Molony, David Oxley and Janine Wheeler to the plan and zoning commission; and William Malony was also appointed to the heritage and architecture commission as the plan and zoniing commission liaison.

All the commissioners' terms were set to expire at the end of the month, according to council documents. Now, their terms expire on the plan commission at the end of April 2025, and Molony's term on the heritage and architecture commission expires at the end of April 2024.
