Lockport Welcomes Several New Businesses

LOCKPORT, IL — Several new businesses have opened in Lockport over the past few months. In their newsletter, the city shared which new businesses have opened, as well as some news about upcoming businesses in 2020.

Several new businesses have opened this fall, including:

• Angle Drone Solutions, 222 E. Ninth St., unit 2. Real estate and architectural drone solutions, opened in November.
• Chipotle, 16433 W. 159th St., opened in November.
• MOD Pizza, 16439 W. 159th St., opened in November.
• The House of Tools, 842 N. State St., opened in November.
• Lotus Moon, LLC, 123 E. Ninth St. Yoga studio, opened in November.
• SpaceLab, 222 E. Ninth St., unit 2. Makerspace, opened in November.
• Advaita Natural Wellness, 1000 S. Hamilton St. Opened in October.
• FedEx (inside Walmart), 16241 S. Farrell Road. Opened in October.
• Bank of America ATM, 16545 W. 159th St., opened in October.
• GL Quality, 816 E. Ninth St. Auto sales, auto body and mechanical repair work, opened in September.
• Mamma Onesta's Bottega, next door to Mamma Onesta's. Italian-themed shop with wine, gifts and imported food products.
• Made For Me Boutique, 905 S. State St.
• S&S Activewear, in the Prologis business park.
• Sugaristas Bakery, 1022 S. State.
• The Donut Shop, 1143 E. Ninth St.

The city said the Holiday Inn Express hotel also broke ground behind the Lockport Medical Express. The hotel should open in 2020.

A Bettenhausen Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep dealership will also be opening in Lockport.

Yet another new business coming to town will be Lock & Mule, from the owners of Tangled Roots Brewery. Lock & Mule just broke ground in December at the Mackin Building in downtown Lockport.
