Lou Malnati's Sweet Return to Flossmoor

FLOSSMOOR, IL — Lou Malnati's fans, the wait is over.

Malnati’s carryout and delivery restaurant reopened on Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 3315 Vollmer Road in Flossmoor.

The restaurant moved into the Flossmoor Commons space formerly occupied by Flavor Restaurant—and also the same spot where the pizza chain was previously.

That location closed 38 years ago due to financial strain, Homewood-Flossmoor Chronicle reports.

“Almost 40 years after locking our doors in Flossmoor, we will throw them open for a second time in the very same location, with a carryout and delivery shop,” owner Marc Malnati told the Chronicle. “And boy, does it feel good to be back!”
