LTHS Cross Country Headed To State Finals

The girls cross country team and an individual from the boys team qualified for the state finals.

LOCKPORT, IL — The Lockport Township High School girls cross country team is headed to the IHSA Class 3A state finals. The team's fourth place finish at sectional allowed them to qualify for state as a team.

While the boys team didn't qualify for state, senior Ross Cronhom qualified as an individual to run in the finals.

The LTHS girls team headed to state consists of seniors Alexa Kemp, Abbey Kozak, Anna Kozak, Madison Polinski, Alexandra Skibicki; juniors Josephine Bober, Elizabeth Bollinger, Grace Mildice, Megan Mitchell; sophomore Samantha Weisner; freshmen Caroline Turner, Monica Skibicki, Kayla Shea and Hannah Miller.

The head coach of the squad is Regan Cronholm, and assistant coaches are Tammy Baranowski and Courtney Krieger.

The girls cross country state finals meet will be held Saturday, Nov. 9 at Detweiller Park in Peoria.
