Old Canal Days Features Fireworks Show For First Time

The show will be displayed to the southwest of the festival site, located on the former Chevron property at 301 W. Second St.

LOCKPORT, IL — The grand finale of the annual Old Canal Days will feature a fireworks show for the first time. The fireworks show, at 10 p.m. on Sunday, will conclude the weekend of festivities.

The show is sponsored by CITGO and Chevron, and lawn seating will be available, according to a release from the city. The show will be displayed to the southwest of the festival site, located on the former Chevron property at 301 W. Second St.

Old Canal Days will also feature a parade, carnival, live music, beer garden, wine tent, artisan market, various exhibits, food court and more. The festival kicks off on Thursday.

In addition to the fireworks show for Old Canal Days, there will still be an Independence Day fireworks show on July 3 at Dellwood Park. Old Canal Days fireworks are not replacing the Independence Day fireworks.

The city said more details on the Independence Day fireworks show are coming soon.
