Old Canal Days Planned In Lockport

LOCKPORT, IL — Old Canal Days will return to Lockport again this summer. The fest will be held Thursday, June 14 through Sunday, June 17. One of the staples of the event, the parade, will be held on Friday, June 15 at 6 p.m. The city said this year the parade will be on the west side of the I&M Canal. The parade route will begin at Second and Canal streets and end at Division and Canal streets.

According to the event website, the schedule for the fest is as follows:

• Thursday, June 14
  • Carnival - 2 to 11:30 p.m.

• Friday, June 15
  • Food Court - 4 p.m. to midnight
  • Carnival - 5 to 11:30 p.m.
  • Parade - 6 to 7 p.m.
  • Entertainment: South City Revival - 7 to 9 p.m.; LAVA Rock - 9:30 to 11:30 p.m.
  • Wine Tent and Beer Garden - 7 p.m. to midnight
• Saturday, June 16
  • Cemetery tours - 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.
  • Food court - 10 a.m. to midnight
  • Carnival - 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
  • Tuffy Car Show - 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Entertainment: School of Rock - 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.; Libido Funk Circus - 9:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Other events on Saturday include Duck Races, a Wine Tent, a Beer Garden, Bingo, Magic Show, Book Sale and more.

• Sunday, June 17
  • Carnival - 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Food court - 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Bean bag tournament - 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Craft beer tasting - 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Other activities include a beer garden, wine tent, Bingo, magic show, Antiques on the Landing and more.
