Online Fundraiser Started for Homer Glen Motorcyclist Hit by Alleged Drunken Driver
The 23-year-old man suffered serious injuries in the crash.

HOMER GLEN, IL — An online fundraiser has been started for two motorcyclists struck by an alleged drunk driver Sunday night in Will County.
The 20-year-old Lemont man and 23-year-old Homer Glen man were riding southbound on US Hwy 52, when Norberto Munoz-Rueda, 55, ran a stop sign at Cedar Road in Manhattan and struck the two, who were traveling in a pack of motorcyclists. Patch has been unable to find their names as of Tuesday afternoon.
"Witnesses state (Munoz-Rueda) went through the stop sign without stopping (and) crossed over the median on Cedar Road," according to Illinois State Police Sergeant Scott Angus. "Witnesses stated that they heard the rumble strips and the car approaching them head on."
Munoz-Rueda was charged with aggravated driving under the influence causing bodily harm and failure to possess valid insurance. The two victims were transported to Silver Cross Hospital with serious injuries. One of the men was later airlifted to Advocate Good Samaritan in Downers Grove.
"These riders were new at riding and couldn't like anything more than to enjoy the day on a Motorcycle and this guy took it away from them," wrote the GoFundMe organizer.
The fundraising goal has been set $500,000. Find the GoFundMe below, or click here on your mobile device.
