Piper Reappointed To Lockport Police Pension Board

With the approval of the council, Piper was reappointed to a 2-year term, which is set to expire in May 2023.

LOCKPORT, IL — The Lockport City Council approved the reappointment of Joe Piper to the Lockport Police Pension Board at its Wednesday meeting. Piper is currently serving as the mayor's appointee to the board, and his term will expire in April, board documents state.

With the approval of the council, Piper was reappointed to a 2-year term, which is set to expire in May 2023.

The police pension board administers the police pension fund and designates the beneficiaries, according to the city website. There are five members of the board, two which are appointed by the mayor, two elected from the active participants of the pension fund, and one elected by and from the beneficiaries.
