Resurfacing, Streetscaping Begins In Lockport After 4th Of July
Construction will happen on State Street between 10th and 11th streets.
LOCKPORT, IL — Correction from the City of Lockport: A previous release stated that construction would start on State Street after the Fourth of July, and then Ninth Street in September, but that is incorrect. Construction on Ninth Street will begin in July, and then State in September.
Resurfacing and streetscaping will begin in Lockport after the Fourth of July, according to a release from the city. Construction in phase 1 of the project will happen on Ninth Street from State Street to Hamilton Street, according to the city.
The portion of Ninth between State and Hamilton Streets will be resurfaced, the city said.

Starting the week of Sept. 6, State Street between 10th and 11th streets, including an extended portion of the southwest and southeast coroners of the intersection at State and 11th, will be under construction the city said.
Streetscape will be installed along State on both the east and west sides, according to the city. Green parkway will also be installed on the southwest corner of 11th and State Street.
