Ribbon Cutting Planned For Beanie's Candy Store And Ice Cream

LOCKPORT, IL — The Lockport Chamber of Commerce will hold a grand opening and ribbon cutting for Beanie's Candy Store and Ice Cream on July 15. The new store is planning to open on Saturday.
The Chamber event will be held at noon on July 15 at the store, 1011 S. State St. The event is open to the public and there will be refreshments and raffles available.
The old-fashioned, mom-and-pop store will offer hard-packed ice cream, malts and shakes, sundaes, candy, specialty chocolates, gummies and Albanese gummi bears. It will also serve Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream.

Patch previously reported that the new store is owned by Gina and Chris Rafalski and is named for their daughter, Angelina's, nickname.
Hours for the new store will be 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
