Several Streets Closed For Old Canal Days
Several roads will be closed for part of or all weekend due to the festival.
LOCKPORT, IL — Lockport's annual Old Canal Days festival will be held June 14-June 16 and several streets will be impacted due to the event. Lockport Police said the weather looks favorable for the weekend, but some scattered storms are possible.

- Routes 7 (between Madison and Canal) and 171 (between Thornton and Division) will be closed Friday night starting at 5:30 p.m. for the parade. They will reopen around 8 p.m.
- State Street between Sixth and Ninth will be closed starting at 3 a.m. on June 15 and will not reopen until 3 a.m. on June 17.
- Hamilton between Seventh and 10th is closed.
- 10th between Hamilton and Commerce Street is closed.
- 8th between State and Washington will be closed beginning this afternoon.
- Parking will be heavily restricted around the festival grounds all weekend and in the area between State and Madison and Thornton and Fourth during the hours leading up to the parade.
Pets are welcome in the festival grounds if they are friendly and on a leash with the exception of the carnival grounds and the beer garden area after 5 p.m. Make sure to bring your pet water and to keep them off of the hot asphalt for any extended period of time, police said.
