26 physicians rank in the top 1 percent of hospitals nationwide.
Silver Cross recently recognized 49 physicians on the hospital’s medical staff for outstanding patient satisfaction from October 2014 to September 2015.
“The Top Docs ranked in the top 1% compared to all other physicians throughout the country,” says Paul Pawlak, President/CEO of Silver Cross Hospital. “It is because of the service and care these doctors provide, Silver Cross continues to be recognized as one of America’s most friendly hospitals with the Hospital of Choice award from the American Alliance of Healthcare Providers.”

Silver Cross regularly surveys all patients at the hospital and benchmarks its performance against all inpatient acute 5,000 hospitals in the United States as required by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. As part of the survey, patients are asked to rate their physicians on several indicators including how often the time the physicians treated them with courtesy and respect, listened to them, and explain things in a way for patients to understand.

Physicians on Silver Cross Hospital’s Medical Staff provide care to patients in Will, Grundy and Southwest Cook County. These specialized and highly trained physicians are not employees of Silver Cross Hospital. They determine independently, based on their training and experience, the appropriate medical care for each patient. Their services are separate from the charges for hospital facilities and support staff and are billed separately by the physician or medical group with which the physician is affiliated.
