Snowfall Totals: Lockport Receives Over 8 Inches Of Snow
The highest snowfall was at Midway Airport, which received 17.7 inches of snow.
HOMER GLEN-LOCKPORT, IL — Over 8 inches of snow fell in Lockport and nearly 7 inches of snow fell in Homer Glen after a snowstorm Monday into Tuesday, according to a snowfall total reports. According to the National Weather Service, some areas saw over a foot of snow with Midway Airport receiving the highest amount with 17.7 inches of snow.
The wintry weather also forced some school districts to close buildings; District 33C students will have an e-learning day. The Homer Township Library also closed Tuesday, Homewood Disposal also delayed services until Wednesday.

The area could get more snow in the coming days, with light snow possible Wednesday night and snow most likely near the lake on Thursday.
