Trick-Or-Treating Hours Set For Homer Glen, Lockport

Both towns will have hours of 3 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 31.

HOMER GLEN-LOCKPORT, IL — Both Homer Glen and Lockport have set their respective trick-or-treating hours for Halloween. Both towns will have hours of 3 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 31.

The Village of Homer Glen also shared a "No Trick Or Treat" sign that residents can post on their front door if they are not interested in participating in trick-or-treating this year. The sign can be downloaded online, or picked up at Village Hall, 14240 W. 151st St.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently released guidance for fall and winter holidays.

It did list traditional trick-or-treating as a higher risk activity and stated the costume masks should not be used in place of cloth face masks. You also should not wear a costume mask over a cloth masks, because it can make it hard to breathe. The CDC suggested using a Halloween-themed cloth mask.
