Update form Homer Twp. Supervisor Steve Balich
After taking over May 17th The New Homer Township Board held a special meeting on May 20th to set the Agenda to move forward

Update form Homer Twp. Supervisor Steve Balich
The First Meeting for Homer Township was 3 days after Taking over May 20th, 2021. The Agenda was packed with much of what we campaigned on. I wanted to formally move forward in a very transparent manner by voting to approve what we said we would do. We just approved to move forward. There are no details yet, but this ambitious Agenda may take a month a may take a year. In any event we will get it all accomplished and achieve our goal of fixing where we live.
There are more items than listed on this Agenda that we will address. For now the important thing for people to know is that we will get things done and work to cut taxes. We are having a particularly good relationship with the Village of Homer Glen on working out kinks in the Intergovernmental agreement allowing the Road District to take most of the property and assets of the Homer Twp. Road District. The Township Road district needs only enough to take care of the 18 miles of unincorporated road properly. The original IGA did not provide that, but Trustees and the Mayor understand the importance of working with the Township on that and many other issues. All of the citizens of Homer Glen are in Homer Township.
