Voting In Homer Glen, Lockport: Everything You Need To Know
The polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
HOMER GLEN-LOCKPORT, IL — If you haven't yet voted by mail or early in-person, there are several polling stations around Homer Glen and Lockport on Election Day. The polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
You can find a list of polling stations in Homer Glen and Lockport, as well as across Will County, on the County Clerk's website.
Although there was a mail-in voting drop box at White Oak Library-Lockport Branch, the drop box is closed on Election Day. The only vote by mail drop box that will accept ballot envelopes on Election Day will be outside the Will County Clerk’s Office, 302 N. Chicago St., in downtown Joliet. That drop box will close at 7 p.m.

In addition to voting on president, some state and local races, voters are being asked to vote on the Graduated Income Tax Amendment.
- A "yes" vote supports repealing the state's constitutional requirement that the state personal income tax be a flat rate and instead allow the state to enact legislation for a graduated income tax.
- A "no" vote opposes this constitutional amendment, thus continuing to require that the state personal income tax be a flat rate and prohibit a graduated income tax.

Homer Township voters will also have two referendum questions on their ballots, both from Homer Township. The first is a proposition to abolish the Road District, and the second is an advisory proposition to pursue grant funding to construct a multipurpose building.
Shall the Road District of the Township of Homer be abolished with all the rights, powers, duties, assets, property, liabilities, obligations, and responsibilities being
assumed by the Township of Homer?
Shall the Homer Township Board in accordance with its Open Space Program pursue grant funding WITHOUT increasing or adding any new real estate taxes, for the purposes of constructing a multipurpose, pole barn style structure to be used for educational, environmental, recreational and social community activities?
