Woman To Woman

A growth group for the second half of life!

"If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together." African Proverb
"If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together." African Proverb

Please join us for a weekly study of themes common to many of us, with a focus on learning healthy successful life principles from good authors, enjoying new friends and writing.

Midlife attracts many questions & issues which we ignore or postpone, such as:
* How do I feel about my life so far, having made the choices that I have?
* Who is in my corner supporting me?
* I wish I had more time to spend exploring my "self" and personal needs
* Have I reconciled my past with where I am now?
* Have I accepted losses in a healthy way? How do I move on?
* Who are my "believing mirrors"?

Discussions will be led by Diane Short, who has a Bachelor's degree in Communications and Public Relations and has led several personal growth groups before. CALL HER (815 543-8400 or email ds41207-Become@usa.net) to ask questions or indicate your interest in participating. In the past these groups have led to a deeper sense of self and understanding of personal life issues, new friendships and personal encouragement. Individually and between meetings we'll read chapters from two books of our choice, and write our thoughts about them. Meetings will be on Monday nights 6:30-8:00 p.m. beginning March 25, tentatively. Location is yet to be decided. Cost is $10 a week, payable in cash.

Before you buy any books, please go to a local library or bookstore and read a few pages of each of the books below. Get a feel for the themes of the book and the author, themselves. Which books appeal to you most? Decide on TWO. If you haven't already, call Diane (815 543-8400) and indicate your choice of books. Be sure to also buy a simple, spiral bound notebook to write in.
"Always work on something uncomfortably exciting." –Larry Page, CEO, Google
