East- and West-Bound Midway Plaisance To Be Re-Paved Next Year
The City Will Listen to Your Suggestions for Alterations to Signage, to Slow Traffic and Improve Pedestrian-Crossing Safety

Daniel Burke, the Chief Engineer for the Chicago Department of Transportation reports to me by email today, two newsworthy items:
1. The complete length of eastbound and of westbound roads that make up Midway Plaisance roads, will be paved in 2020.
2. This will give the City a window-of-opportunity to make needed appropriate changes so that for eastbound and westbound Midway Plaisance
- cars go slower
- pedestrians-crossers at the pedestrian crosswalks, and drivers, can see each other

It is inferred that the City welcomes suggestions to any change to the pedestrian and car signs and such that can be improved, to make the pedestrian crossings safer and more pleasant; and to slow down the cars from the speeds they currently travel.
