1 Critically Injured After Snow Plow Collides With SUV

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The Lake County Major Crash Assistance Team is investigating a collision involving a snow plow that collided with a sports utility vehicle in Zion Monday evening.

The collision sent a passenger of the SUV to the hospital with critical injuries, according to a news release from Lake County. Meanwhile, the driver of the SUV and the driver of the snow plow, who is an employee of the Lake County Division of Transportation, were not injured.

The crash happened at about 5:30 p.m. Monday at Green Bar Road and 9th Street in Zion and remains under investigation by the Lake County Major Crash Assistance Team.
