Woman Gives Officers Fake ID, Arrested On Warrant: Police
Officers were called to the Hampton Inn, 2061 Shell Drive, for a well-being check for a woman who'd just walked out of the hotel. Officers found the woman at a nearby Shell gas station. She showed officers her identification card, which had a photo that did not look like the woman, according to authorities.

Police said the ID had been reported stolen, and officers later identified the woman as Viviana Puebla, 24, of the 600 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. She had an active warrant out for her arrest and was taken into custody.
She received a citation from Libertyville police for identity theft and obstructing justice and appeared for a court hearing on felony charges stemming from the warrant. A $75,000 bail was issued, and she was transported to the Lake County Jail.

Weapons Violation Arrest
A 21-year-old Waukegan man was arrested on a weapons violation charge after Libertyville police officers pulled him over last month for speeding and turned up a loaded firearm after searching his car, police said.
Israel M. Gould, of the 1000 block of Pine Street, has been charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and speeding following the June incident. Officers pulled his car over at Milwaukee Avenue near Coolidge Avenue at about 12:40 a.m. on June 11, according to the police report.
While speaking with Gould, officers said they noticed the smell of marijuana coming from the car and conducted a search of the car. During that search, they found a loaded firearm and ammunition.
He was arrested and taken to the Libertyville Police Department where he was processed and cited and attended a remote court hearing where a $30,000 cash bail was set. He was transferred to the Lake County Jail.
DUI Charge For Driver Without Headlights On: Police
On June 13, officers pulled over a vehicle they said was speeding without its headlights on while headed north on Milwaukee Avenue near McKinley Avenue. The driver, Matthew Holmstrom, 30, of the 1200 block of Sterling Drive, was asked to perform field sobriety tests and was then arrested and charged with driving under the influence and speeding. He was released on a personal recognizance bond and is next expected in court on July 9.
DUI Charge Following Rollover Crash
Police responded to a rollover crash at about 6:30 p.m. on June 19 at Dawes Street and Pembrooke Road. When they arrived, they found a vehicle on its roof and the driver outside the vehicle.
Authorities said they noticed multiple signs that the driver, Kyle Ranallo, 22, of the 1000 block of Mayfair Drive in Libertyville, was under the influence. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries and then arrested and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, using an electronic communication device while driving, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and operating an uninsured vehicle.
Ranallo was released after posting a personal recognizance bond and is next expected in court on July 16.
