Canine Flu Outbreak Cancels Libertyville Adoption Event

Lambs Farm in Green Oaks originally had a dog adoption event scheduled for May 16, but it had to be canceled because of an outbreak of canine flu in Illinois, The Daily Herald is reporting.

The event, originally scheduled for May 16, will be rescheduled when the threat of the outbreak has passed.

Canine flu or dog flu is caused by influenza A.

“According to the Anti-Cruelty Society, dogs are not being transferred into the Chicago area because of the flu outbreak, and the event will be rescheduled when the threat has passed,” The Daily Herald reported.
