Dairy Dream Keeps Operations Going

LIBERTYVILLE, IL — Libertyville's drive-in Dairy Dream remains open and still serving up ice cream during a time when many other local businesses have had to close. The hometown fixture has been around for 59 years and has found smart ways to continue doing business, safely, under Gov. J.B. Pritzker's executive order.

The ice cream shop, located at 1229 W. Park Avenue, has reduced its hours and is offering a limited menu, according to a post on the Dairy Dream's Facebook page. In addition, the business started selling its new family ice cream sundae kits in recent weeks. The kits are $20 and include one quart of ice cream, three toppings, one can of whipped cream and a small side of sprinkles, according to the Dairy Dream.

The Dairy Dream is open from 12 to 5 p.m. on Monday through Thursday and from 12 to 8 p.m. on Friday through Sunday. The ice cream shop is also selling flurries, bulk soft serve frozen treats and cakes.
