The Fastest Boston Marathon Finisher from Libertyville Is ...

Several area runners have accomplished the daunting task of finishing the Boston Marathon. On Monday, April 17, more than 30,000 runners took off from Hopkinton and traveled 26.2 miles to Boston.

Kenyan runner Geoffrey Kirui won the marathon with a time of 2:09:37 while Edna Kiplagat, also from Kenya, won the women's race with a time of 2:21.52.

Brian Hartfield was the fastest runner to cross the finish line from Libertyville with a time of 3:20.36, according to unofficial results.
