Mathew was killed after he and another child, 11, were ejected from a car that was northbound on I-94 near Gurnee Saturday morning, ABC 7 Chicago reports. Neither children were wearing their seat belts.
“Reeve was a God-fearing child,” Deacon Jake Jacob, St. Mary’s Knanaya Jacobite Syriac Orthodox Church, told ABC 7 Chicago. “He was only 10-years-old and actually, next week, he was planning to be an altar boy in the church, so he was planning for that and he was very active in the church.”
