GLMV Names 2021 Board of Directors
The Green Oaks, Libertyville, Mundelein, Vernon Hills (GLMV) Chamber of Commerce has announced its 2021 Board of Directors.
The Green Oaks, Libertyville, Mundelein, Vernon Hills (GLMV) Chamber of Commerce has announced its 2021 Board of Directors.
Newly appointed GLMV Chairman is Steve Kopala, Northwestern Mutual. Steve has served on the board for five years, most recently as Secretary.
GLMV President/CEO Scott Adams introduced Kopala during the GLMV Annual Membership & Recognition Gala, February 18, held via zoom and at several other viewing locations. The Gala also included a review of chamber happenings over the past year, awards, live entertainment, grand prize diamond raffle, online silent auction, and networking.

In his chairman's comments, Kopala said he was excited to be part of the chamber, and noted the challenges of last year.
"A word that comes to mind is resiliency," he said. "We've adapted with the times, but because of these times, we developed a greater sense of community and purpose." He added that "the chamber is thriving and we are here to accelerate your business in 2021."

GLMV Board Officers:
GLMV Chairman Steven Kopala, Northwestern Mutual
Outgoing 2018-2020 Chairman Karen Kay Lavris, Glacier Ice Arena, will continue to serve as Immediate Past Chair.
Vice Chairs are Duane Laska, North Shore Sign Co., and GLMV Platinum Member Mike Aukerman, DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen- VH.
James Busam, Dam, Snell & Taveirne, continues to serve as Treasurer.
Secretary is April Koot, SERVPro - Libertyville.
