LIBERTYVILLE, IL – The Libertyville Village Board has approved spending more than $23,000 to fund an advertisement along Interstate-94, which will tout Libertyville as dining destination. The backlit ad will be located on the southern portion of the Lake Forest oasis with ads also located on a kiosk inside the oasis. The village is working with Libertyville-based Bee-line Communications Inc. to come up with the billboard message, which is meant to catch the eyes of drivers heading north along I-94 approaching Exit 16/Route 176 to Libertyville and get them to think about visiting one of the village’s 86 restaurants, according to the Daily Herald. Last month, the village board approved spending $23,074 to sublease space for the sign.

"It's a significant investment on our part," Heather Rowe, the village's economic development coordinator, said.

The money for the advertising will come from the village's hotel/motel fund.
