Lake Co. Gardeners Club Hosts 'Water-Wise' Event
The March 11 event is free and will be held at CrossLife Evangelical Free Church in Libertyville.

LAKE COUNTY, IL – A program on "water-wise gardening" will be held in March. Gardeners of Central Lake County garden club will be hosting the March 11 program. The program will be presented by horticulturist Sharon Yiesla, owner of "Sharon Yiesla, Horticultural Services," according to the news release.
The event will be held at CrossLife Evangelical Free Church, 431 Austin, Libertyville. Meetings will begin at 7 p.m. and guests are welcome to the free program.
Gardeners of Central Lake County officials said the program touches on the importance of proper watering for gardens.

"Too often our practices waste water and fail to give our plants what they need," according to the news release.
The program covers basic watering techniques, planning a water efficient garden and tools for watering, according to a news release.

The Gardeners of Central Lake County meet monthly and the meetings include an interesting program, mini-plant competition, refreshments and the opportunity to meet other gardening enthusiasts. No gardening experience is necessary.
