Lake County Sheriff’s Office Reopens Public Lobby
The lobby is open to anyone who wishes to conduct business with the sheriff's office in person.
LAKE COUNTY, IL — The Lake County Sheriff's Office officially reopened its public lobby Wednesday morning as part of Phase 5 of the "Restore Illinois" plan.
The public lobby is at LCSO headquarters, which is at 25 South Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue in Waukegan.
According to the department, the lobby is open to anyone who wishes to conduct business with the sheriff’s office in-person.

Lobby hours are during the weekdays from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., as it was prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In keeping with Illinois Department of Public Health guidance, unvaccinated individuals should wear a mask when entering the sheriff’s office lobby, the department said.

As always, for emergencies, the sheriff's office reminds the public should call 911. For non-emergency response where a sheriff’s deputy is needed to respond, the public should call 847-549-5200.
