LIBERTYVILLE, IL — Some days are more interesting than others for police. Officers with the Libertyville Police Department can attest to that.

While Libertyville police are used to interacting with the public, every now and then, they cross paths with "non-humans" in need of help, too.

Last week, police found someone's pet bird, a cockatiel, near Jimmy’s Charhouse on Peterson Road and safely captured it.
