Local Election Results: Libertyville Village Board

Only two candidates filed to fill three open spots on the village board.

Two incumbents - Donna Johnson and Scott Adams - were in the race for three seats at the Libertyville Village Board Tuesday. That meant that the third seat could be a candidate who wins in a write-in campaign.

“If no candidate wins through a write-in vote, “I can appoint,” Mayor Terry Weppler told the Chicago Tribune.

Trustee Drew Collum opted not to file for re-election, which opened his seat. Six trustees serve four-year terms in Libertyville.
