Man Asleep Behind Wheel Arrested, Charged With DUI: Police
The 23-year-old Wisconsin man faces a drunken driving charge after police found him sleeping in his vehicle at a gas station in Libertyville
LIBERTYVILLE, IL — A 23-year-old Wisconsin man who was found sleeping behind the wheel of his car at a Libertyville gas station has been arrested for driving under the influence, authorities said.
The Libertyville Police Department was called to the BP gas station, 114 Peterson Road, at 8:43 p.m. on Aug. 22 for a report of a driver that was possible intoxicated in their vehicle.
Authorities identified the driver as August Zywicki, 23, of Racine, Wisconsin. Police say they noticed several signs that showed Zywicki was impaired, and he failed field sobriety tests, according to a police report.

Zywicki was transported to the Libertyville Police Department where he was processed and cited for driving under the influence.
He was released after signing a $3,000 personal recognizance bond and is next expected in court on May 14.
