Man Attempting To Break Into Home Hits Officer In Face: Police
Authorities say the Round Lake Park man was trying to breaking into a home in the 400 block of Brierhill Drive on June 16.

LIBERTYVILLE, IL — A 29-year-old Round Lake Park man faces felony charges after he tried to break into a home and then hit an officer responding to the scene in the face, authorities said.
Clinton Gwynne, of the 400 block of Brierhill Drive, has been charged with aggravated battery to an officer, criminal trespass to real property, resisting an officer and disorderly conduct in connection with the June 16 incident.
Authorities say they were called to the 900 block of North Milwaukee Avenue at 9:13 p.m. that night for a report of a person who was trying to break into the home. They found Gwynne and were talking with him when he hit one of the officers in the face, according to the police report.

Gwynne was taken into custody and attended a remote court hearing where a $35,000 bail was set. He was transported to the Lake County Jail.
