Man Killed In Hummer, Pickup Truck Crash In Mundelein: Report
The Hummer driver was a Mundelein-area man who was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, where he died, the report said.
MUNDELEIN, IL — One person was killed when a Hummer SUV and a pickup truck crashed Tuesday morning in Mundelein, according to Mundelein police. The Daily Herald said the crash remains under investigation by the Lake County Major Crash Assistance Team, and according to police, took place about 8:30 a.m. at Route 176 and Route 60/83. The man driving the Hummer was an 82-year-old from the Mundelein area, and was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, where he died, police said, according to the Daily Herald.
No one was ticketed, and the driver of the pickup truck was taken to Condell with minor injuries, according to police. According to Lake County Coroner Howard Cooper, an autopsy on the man killed will likely take place Thursday due to coronavirus testing on the body, the news report said.
