Michael Moravectz was Army Veteran; Enjoyed Fishing, Stamp Collecting

Services will be held Dec. 30-31 for Michael Moravectz.

Michael Moravectz, 74, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013, at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.

He was born March 21, 1939, in Chicago, and has been a resident of Libertyville for the past 43 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Germany, and was the owner of the Sun Process Company in Mt. Prospect. Michael was a member of St. Joseph Parish and enjoyed fishing, stamp collecting, cooking, being called Michael Moore, AKA Mighty Moore, and especially spending time with his family.

Surviving are his loving wife of 52 years, Judy Moravectz; five children, Sharon (Doug) Cline, Bonnie Moravectz (Micheal Prefontaine), Lisa (Dan) Organ, Chris Moravectz and Nicole (Dan) Pastore, and eight grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30, at the Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave. (Route 176, one block west of Milwaukee Avenue), Libertyville. Prayers will begin at 9:30 a.m. Tues. Dec. 31 at the funeral home continuing to St. Joseph Church, 121 E. Maple, Libertyville for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery.
