2 Injured In Milwaukee Ave. Hit-And-Run Crash
The collision happened early Thursday on Milwaukee Avenue near Winchester Road.
LIBERTYVILLE, IL — Two drivers injured in a hit-and-run crash have been hospitalized following a collision early Thursday on North Milwaukee Avenue, authorities said. The crash happened at about 4 a.m. in the area of Winchester Road and North Milwaukee Avenue.
When officers arrived at the scene they found a Chrysler minivan on the parkway of North Milwaukee Avenue north of Winchester Road and a Honda sedan in the intersection, according to a news release from the Libertyville Police Department.
The driver of the Honda sedan had fled the scene, heading south on Milwaukee Avenue on foot, police said. Authorities located him in front of 725 N. Milwaukee Avenue.

Both drivers were taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
