Missing Veteran Found Safe in Chicago
Family members were alarmed when Philip Quick didn't show up to his first day at a new job.

CHICAGO, IL — A veteran who was reported missing after not arriving for his first day of work at an Illinois naval base was found safe over the weekend, his family told Patch.
Philip Quick, 54, was on his way from Hopkinsville, Kentucky, to Great Lakes Naval Training Center in North Chicago earlier this week. He was last heard from at 6:03 p.m. Saturday, when he let his family know that he was eating at a McDonald's on Milwaukee Avenue in Libertyville. He was located in Chicago over the weekend, and has reunited with family.
He was scheduled to start in his new position at Great Lakes Naval Base on Monday, Jan. 23, according to the AWARE Foundation, a missing persons advocacy group.
