Northbound Lake Street Closing In Libertyville
When IDOT said to expect the closure to end.
LIBERTYVILLE, IL — No traffic will be allowed on northbound Lake Street north of Peterson road beginning Thursday, Oct. 18, the Illinois Department of Transportation announced. According to IDOT, the removal and replacement of a Metra retaining wall requires the closure until no later than Nov. 18, the project's estimated completion date. Southbound Lake Street will remain open.
IDOT said northbound motorists will be directed to take a detour west on Peterson Road, north on Illinois 83 east on Belvidere Road (Illinois 120) to reconnect with Lake Street.
Expect delays in the area and allow extra time for trips, while paying close attention to traffic signs, speed limits and work zone flaggers.
