Here's a look at some events coming up:

Holiday Window Decorating Contest

Have you enjoyed looking at all of the festive windows in downtown Libertyville? Guests can pick up ballots at participating locations and vote for their favorite. Voting will take place through Dec. 13. This year's theme is the song, "Silver Bells."

Dickens of a Holiday

MainStreet Libertyville will continue its "Dickens of a Holiday" festivities Dec. 14. The events will include  photos with Santa in Cook Park from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m., a Children's Holiday Shoppe at Petranek's Pharmacy from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Ansel B. Cook Museum tours from noon to 4 p.m. (and from noon to 2 p.m. on Dec. 8 and 15). The Liberty Theatre will show "Elf" at 10 a.m. Click here for more information.

Live Nativity

The United Methodist Church of Libertyville will present its Live Nativity program at 6 p.m. Dec. 15 in Cook Park in downtown Libertyville. The event will feature live animals. Cookies and cocoa will be served at the church after the event.
