Services Set for Libertyville High Students, Recent Grad, Retiree Who Died Over Weekend
Funeral services will be held in coming days.

It’s been an especially hard week back to school after the Thanksgiving break as students and staff at Libertyville High School are grieving the deaths of two students and one recent grad. In addition to the student deaths, a retired worker in the school's drop-in computer lab, Maryjo Robbins, 68, died on Sunday, according to the Daily Herald.
Below we’ve included information from the obituaries and on the funeral services for those who died in recent days.
Madelynn Nicole McInerney, 17
Madelynn Nicole McInerney, 17, is remembered in her obituary as “the most beautiful girl I have ever seen, pure as snow, with the fearless spirit of the greatest warrior.” McInerney died Friday following a two-year battle with brain cancer.

A visitation for McInerney will be held on Friday from 2:30 to 8 p.m. at St. Joseph's Parish Koenig Center, 121 Maple Ave. in Libertyville. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday December 3, at St. Joseph's Parish. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Libertyville.

She was a junior at Libertyville High School, active with choir, cheerleading and the bowling team. Maddy participated in various cancer organization fundraisers. In 6th and 8th grade, she participated in the St. Balderick's Children's Cancer Foundation and in 2016 was a spokesperson for the local fundraiser. She was the Courage winner for Voices Against Brain Cancer in 2015 and honored for her bravery in 2016 at the inaugural Brain Up Chicago 5K run and walk in Chicago.

Zachary Neir, 19
A 2016 graduate of Libertyville High School, Zachary Neir, died on Friday at his home from complications of Duchenne muscular dystrophy, according to his obituary.
A visitation and funeral service for Neir will be held on Wednesday. The visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Crosslife Evangelical Free Church, 431 W. Austin Ave. in Libertyville. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Libertyville.
Neir was born in Highland Park and has lived in Libertyville for the past 16 years, according to his obituary.
He enjoyed his dog, Maddie, video games, art and horseback riding, according to his obituary.

Fatami Durrani
Sophomore Fatima Durrani died on Saturday and services were on Monday, according to the Daily Herald. School officials were not releasing details into Durrani’s death.
The service was held at the Islamic Foundation North.
Maryjo Robbins, 68
Maryjo Simone Robbins, 68, died at her home on Thursday. Robbins lived in Libertyville for 36 years and worked in the computer lab at Libertyville High School for 15 years before retiring in 2013, according to her obituary.
A visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m.on Dec. 1 at the Burnett-Dane Funeral Home Ltd., 120 W. Park Ave., in Libertyville. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at noon on Friday, Dec. 2. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery.
Robbins enjoyed quilting, researching her beloved Italian family history (Sicily) and was a charter member of the Random Readers Book Club,according to her obituary.
