St. Mary’s Road to Close at Metra Crossing for Repairs
The railroad crossing in Green Oaks will be closed to all traffic.
LCDOT: The Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) will be closing St. Mary’s Road to through traffic from Illinois Route 137 to Illinois Route 176. The closure will begin at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, November 19 and is scheduled to reopen by late afternoon on Wednesday, November 20. The closure is necessary to replace a large deteriorated cross-road culvert.
Local traffic will be allowed from IL 137 south to Thornbury Lane/Greenbriar Drive and from IL 176 north to Minard Lane. The railroad crossing will be closed to all traffic.
Detour Route: Illinois Route 137 to Illinois Route 21 to Illinois Route 176.
