Thank You Walgreens on South Milwaukee
Walgreens Generously Donates Sweet Treats after Halloween

A very special thank you to the Walgreens located on South Milwaukee Avenue in Libertyville's Red Top Plaza. Walgreens donated all the unsold Halloween candy, headbands, glasses and yes, the orange pumpkins for others to enjoy. With their generosity, the women's guild of St. Basil Church of Mettawa will deliver the candy and holiday treats to the Ronald McDonald house in Chicago and to local food pantries. This project is now in its second year and the guild is thrilled to be able to share the generous donation from our local Walgreens. We thank Walgreens for sharing and reaching out into the greater community to get sweet treats to those who want them and look forward to this annual gift. Walgreens shift leader, David Sotelo was on hand to help load up the card headed for the sharing of the candy treats. A special thank you also to assistant store manager AJ for thinking of others at this time of year when sharing is so important. Congratulations to Walgreens on having such wonderful employees who directly connect with the community.
