17 Hospitalized With COVID-19 At Silver Cross Hospital

NEW LENOX, IL — The number of patients hospitalized with COVID-19 at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox has continued to decrease over the past week. According to data from the hospital, on Monday, there were 17 patients hospitalized with COVID-19, and one person under investigation awaiting test results.

The number of patients hospitalized with COVID-19 has fallen over the past month. According to hospital data, the number of patients hospitalized is approaching lows seen in July and in early October.

Out of the 17 patients, three of the currently hospitalized COVID-19 patients are in the ICU, and one patient with COVID-19 is on a ventilator.

The hospital has a 4.2 percent 7-day positivity rate for its COVID-19 testing, which is higher than the 3.7 percent positivity rate as of Feb. 15.
