2 New Restaurants Being Built In New Lenox

NEW LENOX, IL - If you've traveled along Route 30 in New Lenox, between Joliet and Chicago Heights, you may have noticed mounds and mounds of dirt. Heavy machinery. Backhoes. Bobcats. Dump trucks. Are we forgetting something? Not only is the greatly anticipated Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurants being built up the road from Lincoln-Way Central High School, but there are a number of additional restaurant projects and new businesses sprouting up.

Last week, Patch also visited the construction site near the Walmart shopping center that will be the home of a new Chipotle Mexican Grill. The new restaurant is being built on the north side of Route 30 just east of the Walmart.

"You can see they're moving well along with construction," Mayor Tim Baldermann told Patch. "They're in Mokena already, and they know their business model. I think they will be successful here in New Lenox."

The New Lenox commercial building that will house Chipotle is also expected to be the home for a new MOD Pizza, Patch has also learned.

MOD Pizza is a popular West Coast pizza chain that just opened this new store in Bolingbrook.

Besides Chipotle and MOD Pizza, the new building will also house a third business tenant that remains unknown at this time.
