5 Things to Do in New Lenox this Week

Coming up this week:

• The New Lenox Village Board will hold its committee-of-the-whole meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at the village hall at 1 Veterans Parkway.

• The New Lenox Severe Weather Preparedness Training & Health and Safety Expo will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Lincoln-Way West High School Performing Arts Center. This is a free event.

• Stop by Potbelly between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., Wednesday to grab some dinner and help support Trinity Services' mission of helping people with disabilities live full and abundant lives. Potbelly will donate 25 percent of all sales to Trinity Services, Inc.

• A fundraiser for Relay for Life of New Lenox, "Relay Bingo," will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Beggars Pizza. Tickets are $20 on or before Wednesday or $30 at the door. The event includes eight bingo games with prizes, pizza, pop and salad, plus door prizes. There will be 10 vendors and a wine pull. • Friends of the Library will host its Spring Gala for ages 21 and older at the New Lenox Public Library from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday. This year's theme is the celebration of Shakespeare's works. The event will have entertainment, alcoholic beverages, food, music, raffles, auctions and more. Tickets are $40 at the door and $30 in advance at the library.
