Aggravated Assault, DUI: New Lenox Police Reports

The following information is from the New Lenox Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.
Aug. 11
- Someone stole a $15,000 camera and tools from the open garage of Expert Plumbing, 1020 Star Lane.

- Perseus Verna, 22, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft at 1:21 p.m. at Walmart, 501 E. Lincoln Highway. According to reports, Verna stole over $70 worth of trading cards from the store.
- Fredrick Despres, of Joliet, was charged with retail theft at 7:02 p.m. at Walmart, 501 E. Lincoln Highway. According to reports, Despres stole over $200 worth of merchandise from the store.
Aug. 14
- Someone forced entry to Speedway, 301 W. Lincoln Highway, at 2:57 a.m., by breaking glass. Several cartons of cigarettes were stolen.

- Benjamin Casler, 30, of Mokena, was charged with DUI-drugs at 6:17 p.m. at Cedar and Haven. According to reports, police were called to the area for an intoxicated driver and saw them commit several traffic violations. A traffic stop was conducted and the officer met with Casler, and learned he was driving under the influence of drugs.
- Aaron Foster, 30, of Lockport, was charged with aggravated assault and retail theft at 9:11 p.m. at Bulldog Ale House, 2387 E. Joliet Highway. According to reports, Foster refused to pay for a beer that he ordered and drank from. He was asked to leave the business, and he then produced a knife and pointed it at the employee. The officer found Foster walking in the area and he was taken into custody.
