Boil Order Lifted Saturday Afternoon
The order was in place since Thursday afternoon.
NEW LENOX, IL — A water boil order issued Thursday following a water main break has now been lifted.
The break occurred on Schoolhouse Road and water service was interrupted for all residents and businesses South of Talon and East of Schoolhouse Road.
As of Saturday, repairs have been completed and the necessary flushing and purification steps have also been completed. Water samples have been confirmed to be free of coliform bacteria, the Village said in a release. Affected residents may now return to normal water usage.
