Camp Bow Wow Opening In New Lenox

NEW LENOX, IL — New Lenox's newest business is for the dogs. Camp Bow Wow, which offers doggy day care and boarding, is set to open Aug. 27 at 22032 Howell Drive in New Lenox.

The 8,100-square-foot facility includes a large indoor and outdoor play area, luxury and teacup suites, dog pools and play equipment, cabins with cots, and a 24-hour monitoring system.

Owners Jim and Debbie Cochonour said they have always had a love for dogs.

"We volunteered and do fundraising for shelters as well as fostered dogs," Debbie said. "Our home is always referred to as the 'Ritz' for dogs for all the spoiling and love we give to every dog."

She said they researched a franchise which had a reputable and safe industry standard.

"Camp Bow Wow has high quality standards and best practices to provide a safe, fun and nurturing environment."

When deciding where to open their business, the couple searched for available buildings in Lockport and the surrounding towns.

"New Lenox has an inviting, friendly and an array of businesses and homes that helped us make our decision to build in their community," the Cochonours told Patch. "The New Lenox Chamber and other local businesses have been so supportive and welcoming to us. We look forward to being a part of the New Lenox business community!"
