Carjacking At Gunpoint Reported In New Lenox: Police

One of the men pointed a gun at the victim, while the other stole their wallet and cell phone at a New Lenox gas station.

NEW LENOX, IL — Two men held a victim at gunpoint and stole their car, wallet and cell phone on Sunday night at Route 66 Food & Fuel, 2560 N. Cedar Road, according to New Lenox police reports.

According to police reports, an officer was called to the gas station at 11:21 p.m. for an aggravated vehicular hijacking. The victim told police they were pumping gas when they were approached by two men.

One of the men pointed a gun at the victim, while the other stole their wallet and cell phone. According to reports, one of the men then got into the victim's car and drove away while the second man followed in another car.
